Mr. Sundaramoorthy Ilamathivanan, B.E., MBA, With a career spanning over 40 years in the Maritime industry and sailed in Various type of ships like Bulk carrier, Passenger ship, Oil Tanker, Chemical Tanker, Container, PCC,, LPG and LNG . Started his career with Shipping corporation of India in the year 1983 and sailed in various ranks and shifted to Univan ship Management Honk Kong in the year 1991 and promoted as Chief engineer in the year 1994 and subsequently joined ashore as Technical Superintendent at Hong Kong in the year 1997.

Also Served as Manning Manager and Technical manager with Executive ship Management, Singapore and also with NYK ship Management, Singapore. Holds Class I COC (Motor & Steam) and has sailed in LNG Carriers for about 18 years as Chief Engineer / Vessel Manager and involved in Docking, New deliveries and FSRU conversion project. Senior Fellowship with Institute of Marine engineers India and also serving as External Examiner with MMD Chennai. Presently Joined with AMET City College to share his collective rich experience and promote the quality of Marine engineers.
